Whitby Abbey Illuminated In Halloween Homage To Dracula Author Bram Stoker
A dramatic light display illuminates the historic Whitby Abbey on October 24, 2019 in Whitby, England. The abbey will be illuminated during the Halloween Week from October 25 to November 2 and visitors will be able to experience the site after dark and wander through the dramatic ruins of the abbey famously noted for being the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula. New for this year’s event are the Wicked Witches of Whitby, a coven of witches who will haunt the ruins throughout the evening. The famous Benedictine abbey sits on East cliff in the Yorkshire seaside town in a commanding position overlooking the North Sea.
