Last night I watched The Bobby DeBarge Story and I came away with thinking there was so much more to him then they showed last night. He was very troubled and he had problems with fame and they didn't show how he felt about all the ways he had to man up because his dad didn't really show him how to be a man when he made him feel less than a man while growing up. James felt Bobby's raft when he would beat him up or was just to hard on his little brother and that made James resentful towards Bobby. Why did Bobby do drugs and how he was when Switch had, had enough of his games. His love for La Toya played out somewhat but we knew how that would end he did move on from La Toya but you could sense he was hurt when Jermaine told him to leave his sister alone. He felt his mother hadn't done enough to protect him and his brothers and sisters, because Bunny was molested by her father at a young age. Bobby's sexuality was in question because he went both ways it came from not knowing how to love he spent time trying to find out who or what he was straight or gay. In the made for TV story I felt for Bobby he had so much talent but drugs just took over him it was a very sad ending for a man who could have had it all.
I'll tell you this the whole DeBarge family has so much more story to tell and though TVONE tried to pull years of pain into 2 hours it missed more important players to the story.
