Justice Department to seek lighter sentence for Roger Stone after Trump calls recommendation 'unfair'
On Tuesday, a senior DOJ official told the Associated Press that the Justice Department is set to "clarify" its recommended sentence for political operative Roger Stone, who was convicted in November for obstruction of justice. Hours earlier, President Trump called the original recommendation "very unfair." Stone is a former campaign aide to President Trump.
DEVELOPING: AP source says Feds are backing away from Roger Stone sentencing proposal of 7-9 years. Stone was convicted in Nov. of lying to Congress, witness tampering, & obstructing house investigation.
I tell you all America is like sitting ducks and it's sad how helpless we are with that man in office.
