On Saturday, Rihanna's foundation made the incredible donation announcement. Posting a picture showing a number of nurses in scrubs and wearing masks, their caption read, "We’ve responded to COVID-19 by distributing $5 million in grants to @partnersinhealth @directrelief @feedingamerica @rescueorg @who and #Barbados." The statement went on to say their donation will help to "prepare communities w/ critical protective gear, medical supplies, equipment and access to food across multiple countries and regions." Within minutes, the post made the rounds with Rihanna Navy, and her superfans are praising the singer for her efforts.
"One of the main reasons I support Rihana is because of her social consciousness. She totally gets the importance of social and communal responsibility. You are a BRIGHT LIGHT in a sometimes dark world; light will ALWAYS illuminate in darkness. You are that light. Peace and Blessings to you and your family," one fan wrote. "Robyn is angel in this world," added another. "I’m so so proud to be a fan of Rihanna," posted a third. Several others responded by leaving heart and prayer emojis in the comments.
