One of the former stars of Discovery's "MythBusters," Grant Imahara has died after suffering a sudden brain aneurysm. The 49-year-old electrical engineer and roboticist died Monday, a rep for Discovery confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
"We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family," a statement from the network read.
It's currently unclear where Imahara was when he died, but THR reports he died suddenly of a brain aneurysm.
After graduating from USC, Imahara worked for Lucasfilm and Industrial Light and Magic for 9 years and was involved in some of the biggest blockbusters of all time, including "Jurassic Park: The Lost World," " Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace," and "The Matrix: Reloaded."
Imahara was later tapped to join MythBusters by his friend and former co-star, Jamie Hyneman, and joined the Build Team alongside Kari Byron and Tory Belleci. Imahara was a staple on the Discovery show until he left in 2014.
Imahara later joined back up with Byron and Belleci for the short-lived Netflix series, "White Rabbit Project," that used scientific knowhow to explore popular subjects like superhuman powers and how to escape from jail.
As news of Imahara's passing broke on Monday evening, one of his co-stars has already reacted with an emotional tribute.
Kari Bryon took to Instagram shortly after his death was announced, and delivered a touching message:
"I’m so sorry. He was an amazing person. I was lucky enough to meet you guys while filming the zombie episode. You all have been a huge part of my life. My heart is with all of you and his family."
In 2016, Imahara became engaged to longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Newman, but it's unclear if they married.

Kelly Preston’s death has led to many people on social media questioning whether her Scientology views affected her medical decisions.
The critics of The Church of Scientology have accused members of rejecting modern medicine. Ex-Scientologists claim the church’s founder, L. Ron Hubbard, was critical of the medical profession and had specific policies on it.
Over the weekend, John Travolta announced his 57-year-old wife Kelly had passed away after suffering a two-year battle with breast cancer. He wrote, “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. "
He ended, "My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal. All my love, JT”..........RIP
The Ventura Sheriff's Office has announced they recovered a body in Lake Piru on Monday, July 13 but has yet to confirm if it's Naya Rivera. The "Glee" actress went missing on Wednesday, July 8 after swimming in the lake with her four-year-old son. Search efforts have proven tough due to the "difficult conditions" of the water. Over the weekend, authorities, as well as trained divers, searched the water and nearby cabins looking for the 33-year-old star. Taking to Twitter, the police department in charge of the search announced the news fans have been hoping for.
"A body has been found at Lake Piru this morning. The recovery is in progress," the Ventura Sheriff's Office tweeted out. They have not confirmed if the body has been identified as Naya Rivera but are holding a press conference at 2 PM to give further details.
It's been five days since Naya Rivera was last seen. The actress was caught on CCTV at the boat dock renting a platoon with her toddler. The images on the footage are the last anyone saw of Naya Rivera alive.
Her son was found alone on the boat and he informed officials that he was swimming with his mom and she dove back in but never came up. This weekend proved a difficult one for Naya Rivera's family as her mother, father, and brother arrived to the site of the search.
The emotions proved too much to bear for Naya Rivera's mother when she arrived at the boat dock on Saturday, July 11. Pictures circulated showing Yolanda Rivera falling to her knees on the dock with her arms wide open.
Naya Rivera's father showed up with his son on Sunday, July 12 and video showed him running into the lake as the search continued. The actress' "Glee" co-star Heather Morris tweeted at Ventura Sheriff's Office asking if she and a few others could help with the search. Authorities later deterred civilians from helping with search efforts as temperatures scorched over the weekend and they didn't want to add anyone else to their potential victims list.....RIP

Pop Smoke's death will not go without justice being served, as four people have now been charged in connection with the rapper's murder, and two of the alleged killers are facing the death penalty. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office made the announcement on Monday afternoon that two adult men and two teens have been arrested over Pop Smoke's murder, which occurred during a Hollywood Hills home invasion and robbery back in February. Pop Smoke was shot and killed during the break-in.
The D.A. also announced the names of the two adults involved while explaining why they are facing elevated charges:
"Corey Walker (dob 11/22/00) and Keandre Rodgers (dob 2/12/02) were each charged today in case BA488518 with murder with the special circumstance allegation that the murder occurred during the commission of a robbery and a burglary, making them eligible for the death penalty."
The D.A. also stated the criminal complaint mentions gang affiliations, and that the other two defendants, two male juveniles, ages 17 and 15, "were each charged with one count of murder and robbery in juvenile court."
Pop Smoke, whose posthumous album was just released by 50 Cent, was murdered while renting a home from "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Teddi Mellencamp and her husband, Edwin Arroyave.
The D.A. described the event that tragically took Pop Smoke's life:
"On February 19, sometime around 4 a.m., the defendants are accused of breaking into a home in the Hollywood Hills where 20-year-old Bashar Barakah Jackson, known as Pop Smoke, was staying. Jackson was shot and killed."
Even though Pop Smoke's murder is still under an active investigation by the LAPD, the District Attorney felt they had enough to go forward prosecuting the individuals currently in custody.

Johnny Depp claims ex-wife Amber Heard put out a lit cigarette on his face during infamous Australia domestic incident, which left a burn mark on his right cheek, this according to hs bodyguard who testified during the actor's libel trial.
According to multiple reports, the 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' star's bodyguard, Malcolm Connolly, testified he was present during the incident in 2015 and witnessed some of the fight's aftermath.
Connolly, who worked for Depp for 16 years, testified in Depp's ongoing libel trial against a UK tabloid who called the actor a 'wife-beater' -- something he strenuously denies.
The bodyguard claimed on the day of the incident, he got an urgent call from Johnny's head of security, Jerry Judge, who told him, "Malcolm, get in the car, extract the boss from the situation."
Connolly claims when he arrived at the rental house Depp and Heard were staying, he found a 'ruckus' going on and the couple was 'screaming at each other.'
At that point, the bodyguard took Depp out to the car where the actor said, "She’s cut my f----ing finger off. She’s smashed my hand with a vodka bottle.” Adding, "I saw his finger and it was a mess.”
Depp bodyguard also testified the actor told him Amber Heard had put a cigarette out on his face. He confirmed to the court he did indeed see a mark on Johnny's cheek.
The bodyguard testified he had never seen Johnny Depp strike Amber Heard, saying, “I would not tolerate any man striking a woman. No matter who he is. Not even if he is my boss. Not even if he is the pope.”
As we previously reported, Johnny Depp claims Heard hurled a vodka bottle at him which sliced off the end of his finger. During the argument, Depp allegedly dipped his bleeding finger in black paint and wrote messages on the homes' mirror to his wife.

Elvis Presley's grandson, Benjamin Keough, has died of an apparent suicide after reportedly succumbing to a self-inflicted gun shot wound.
According to multiple reports, Lisa Marie Presley's 27-year-old son died Sunday in Calabasas, CA after apparently taking his own life.
A manager for Lisa Marie confirmed the death, saying, "She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11 year old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."
Benjamin is the brother of actress Riley Keough, and was a musician just like this mother and grandfather.
Back in 2009, Keough struck a $5 Million record deal with Universal music and was featured in several Hollywood movies. Not much else is known about Lisa Marie's son as he kept a pretty low profile.
Benjamin looked very much like his famous grandfather and his mother spoke openly about their similar appearance. "Ben does look so much like Elvis. He was at the Opry and was the quiet storm behind the stage," she said.
Adding, "Everybody turned around and looked when he was over there. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny."
It's unclear if Benjamin was suffering from any sort of aliment that led him to taking his own life.
The last time Keough was seen publicly was his the 40th anniversary of his grandfather's death, where the family gathered at his home in Graceland.
At the time, Lisa Marie Presley was fighting with her ex-husband over taking all of her children to celebrate the anniversary and other holidays at Graceland.

NBA legend Byron Scott is officially off the market again after marrying his longtime-girlfriend/”Basketball Wives” star CeCe Gutierrez.
Over the weekend, Byron shared photos from the lavish wedding captioned, “Me and the Mrs.” The two looked extremely happy while getting down on the dance floor by themselves. It appears they had no guests at the reception.
In the photos, none of Bryon’s family were seen in the snaps which makes sense since they have been fighting for several months. As The Blast previously reported, last year, Bryon’s relationship with CeCe caused a ton of family problems. CeCe appeared on “Basketball Wives” with Kristen Scott, the wife of Byron’s son Thomas Scott.

Will Smith seemed to address the 'separation' and relationship Jada Pinkett Smith had with August Alsina, in a newly resurfaced Instagram video, which statements sound eerily similar to details shared during the couple's recent 'Red Table Talk' interview.
In the clip, posted by several people online, the 'Bad Boys' star is filming himself for an Instagram live -- while driving around on a golf course.
The video, which appears to be filmed around 2018, Smith openly discusses his marriage issues with Jada Pinkett, even stating the same line he did in the recent interview, that the couple needed to go out an 'make themselves happy.'
He says in the selfie-style footage, "Love. I asked her what was one of the biggest revelations she had had about love. She said you cannot make a person happy. I thought that was a real deep idea."
He continued, "You can make a person smile, you can make a person feel good, you can make a person laugh, but whether a person is happy is deeply utterly and completely out of your control."
As the video continues, the A-list star seems to reference the couple's breakup and discusses how it ended up being healthy in the longterm for their marriage.
Life goes on and well it should what would we do without this crazy world we all now live in, here's hoping for souls that are gone may they rest in peace. And for the drama keep it coming it's what you all do that makes it all worth while.
