Now this right here was my time for what was really reality TV.....
The "Real World: New York" reunion docuseries starts streaming March 4 on Paramount+.
This is the true story of seven former strangers picked to live in a loft and have their lives taped. Now, you can find out what happens almost 30 years later when those onetime strangers reunite, thanks to the new Paramount+ series The Real World Homecoming: New York
The original cast of MTV's groundbreaking The Real World series -- Becky Blasband, Andre Comeau, Heather B. Gardner, Julie Gentry, Norman Korpi, Eric Nies and Kevin Powell -- are all back for the multi-episode docuseries, in which they'll revisit the exact New York loft they lived in for the 1992 show and discuss some of the show's most shocking moments, including how things have (or haven't) changed since then.
The Real World is credited with creating the reality TV genre and was one of the first series to tackle important and yet unrepresented topics such as LGBTQ, race, gender, HIV/AIDS and religion,” said Chris McCarthy, president of MTV Entertainment Group. "With Paramount+ being the home to so many global reality hit franchises it seems only fitting to bring back the franchise and cast that started it all for the launch."
The Real World Homecoming: New York will start streaming March 4, the same day the Paramount+ streaming service from ViacomCBS (formerly CBS All Access) launches. You can currently stream multiple seasons of The Real World on CBS All Access here before its Paramount+ rebranding.
