Hip-Hop Icons for New Career Path By Gary Trock Acosta Park may be about to break out into the music industry as a singer-songwriter, but he's hardly new to the business as he has already enjoyed a front-row seat while some of the biggest albums of all time were recorded under his roof. For years, Parks has immersed himself behind-the-scenes in the industry as the well-known owner of Penthouse Recording Studios, located atop Quad Studios Times Square in New York City. The location is infamous in hip-hop, as it was the location where Tupac Shakur was first shot back in 1994. Penthouse Recording Studios has also been used by artists like Mariah Carey, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Coldplay, Notorious B.I.G., and even Beyoncé. Aside from the lore of his studio, Acosta Park has used his time wisely while learning from some of the biggest artists on a daily basis, including Cardi B, Swizz Beats, Ty Dolla, G-Eazy (photo above), as well as late stars like Pop Smoke and Juice Wrld. The years of experience has culminated into a perfect storm for Acosta Park, who is now set to launch his own career. Currently, Acosta Park, who recently battled COVID-19, is weeks away from dropping the first two tracks off his debut album. Having signed an exclusive deal with Run It Up Records, under the watch of music executive, Scotty Stylin, Park is preparing to drop "Ain’t Nobody” & “Perfecta," along with his entire album, "Acosta Park: The Takeover." "Perfecta," written by Park and artist Costi, is a tropical vibe that showcases the young star's falsetto voice and powerful bilingual vocals in both English and Spanish.
