The most-followed woman on the social media platform posted photos with her fans and thanked everyone for their support.
"Wishing I could hug all 400 million of you," she said, adding a heart emoji.
According to Billboard magazine, the men with more followers than Selena on Instagram are football players Cristiano Ronaldo with 563 million followers and Lionel Messi with 443 million.
Selena previously surpassed Kylie Jenner as the most-followed woman on Instagram in February, but Selena immediately took a social media break following her achievement.
At the time, Selena also thanked her fans for their continued support.
