Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey Break Up After Over a Year of Dating
After more than a year of being one of the most adorable couples on the planet, Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have reportedly ended their relationship.
People broke the news Saturday, reporting that a source close to the (now former 😢 😢 😢) couple confirmed the split.
"Michael and Lori are both completely heartbroken. They still love each other," the source said of the (again, now former 😢 😢 😢) couple. "Michael matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term. He let down his guard with her, opening up emotionally in a romantic relationship for the first time. They had great times together and brought out the best in each other."
While the source's quote about the breakup is undeniably beautiful and only makes us mourn the end of the 'ship more, neither Michael nor Lori have publicly addressed the news as of Sunday morning. (People reported on Saturday that a "representative for Jordan could not be reached for comment" and "reps for Harvey did not immediately respond" to requests for comment.)
By Sunday morning, Us Weekly reported that it could also confirm the breakup and noted that, even though the actor and model have both stayed silent about the split so far, Lori appears to have "scrubbed Jordan’s presence from her social media profiles," which is very 😬. (FWIW, Michael's last IG post with Lori is a tribute from March to their night out at the Vanity Fair Oscar party and it's still up, as of this writing at least.)
In a December 2021 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Michael made it clear how much the relationship had impacted both his life and his craft as an actor.
"There are roles that I passed on that I knew I didn’t have enough life experience to play. I was like, 'What can I pull from?'" he explained. "But I finally found what love was."
