Ronstadt’s aunt Luisa Espinel in the 1920s. A singer and dancer, Espinel toured Europe and the U.S. with her show, “Song Pictures of Spain.” I guess you could say singing was in Linda's blood.
Espinel wore exquisite costumes. Ronstadt borrowed the title of her Mexican album, Canciones de Mi Padre, from a book of songs Espinel published in 1946.
