These are a couple of events I'm supporting in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month/Susan G. Komen.
My baby sister is a breast cancer survivor, and we are so proud of her. The Pink Dessert Wars is tonight(yummy) This year I'm supporting each cause, but next year I plan on participating
-PINK DESSERT WARS-
Pink Dessert Wars will take place at the University Club of Michigan State University from 6p-9p. Thirty of Mid-Michigan’s area bakeries, caterers, pastry shops and restaurants wil compete for prizes and awards using the dessert of their choice while incorporate the color pink or an edible ribbon in there dessert to bring awareness to the fight against Breast Cancer. Competitors will be eligible for the Judges Choice, People’s Choice, the Pink Table Award and they can compete for the Pioneer Award As Well.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a celebration of survivor-ship an occasion to express hope and our shared determination to make this breast cancer's last century.
The fight to end breast cancer starts with a single step. Join millions of people in more than 300 communities nationwide and take that step with us at the American Cancer Society Making Strides of Grand Rapids MI walk. Just a few hours of your time at our non-competitive, 5K event will help bring a lifetime of change for people facing breast cancer and their families.
Every Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC) event is an incredible and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to reduce our breast cancer risk, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them. Sign up today and let’s finish the fight against breast cancer.
