Miss Irene Cara was a big star when I was younger I love her acting and singing she was the Latin star that made her talent last till time just changed. She was on a show about celebrities trying to make a comeback a while ago now she didn't make the cut I think she was not up to the challenge. Anywho she's best known for this song that won her an Oscar.

I also loved this movie and the song...What was the show that Janet Jackson played in i'm thinking eighties was it called Fame ...I remember a little something about it not sure if it was call that?
