OH here WE go AGAIN !!
A new accuser has stepped forward claiming comedian Bill Cosby had his way with her 30 years ago. The statute of limitations has already run out on whatever Cosby may have done, but Heidi Thomas says she is revealing her secret for the first time because she wants to be heard. Wanting to be heard (and seen on TV) seems to be the common thread among Cosby’s 25 or so accusers.
Thomas told CNN she was a 24-year-old aspiring actress named Heidi Johnson when she met Cosby in 1984. She said her agent arranged for a meeting between her and a “very important person” who was “looking for young talent that he can mentor.”
She said she was instructed to travel to Reno, Nevada to meet with Cosby at Harrah’s Hotel and Casino where Cosby was performing. Her agent told Thomas that Cosby would “coach her and help her act.” Of course her agent is dead now, and therefore he is unable to corroborate her story.
Thomas’ mother, Greta Lea Johnson, does, however, confirm at least some of Thomas’s tale.
“I’m not a hovering mother, but, of course, we had no cell phones. We had nothing that we could use to keep in contact with her,” Johnson told CNN. “We had no knowledge of where she would be. We were pretty naïve.”
Thomas says Cosby sent a limo to pick her up and deliver her to him at a friend’s home outside Reno. The sprawling spread had a jacuzzi and all the privacy Cosby needed.
She said Cosby met her at the door and offered her a drink. Thomas said Cosby “wasn’t impressed” with her because she wasn’t much of a drinker.
“How are you ever going to play an intoxicated person if you’ve never been drunk?” she says Cosby told her while plying her with drinks.
She said she awoke sometime later to see a naked Cosby next to her in bed. She said her memory of that moment is “foggy,” but she seems to recall Cosby asking her if she was “feeling the part now?” or “feeling the lines now?”
Thomas said he told her “I’m your friend … your friend is gonna (ejaculate) again.”
Thomas said she asked herself, “What’s happened? Why am I here? Why is he naked? What did I say? What did I do?”
It’s a pity she didn’t ask Cosby any of those questions. His answers would have made her story a lot more interesting.
She said the next thing she remembers is storming out of the room, slamming the door, and then “apologizing” to Cosby.
Thomas said she rode with Cosby in his limo to his show at Harrah’s. She remembers Cosby’s cook offering her strawberries and wine with Cosby. She said the next four days were “a blur.”
Thomas said her faulty memory of those four days were spotty and blurry and “I’m still not thinking I’ve been abused. I’m thinking this is all my fault.”
Thomas said her mother helped her to remember that, indeed, “something happened to her” in Reno. She said her mother recalled a phone call she made telling her of an experience she had with Cosby that first day in Reno. Thomas said she doesn’t remember making the phone call. But her mother does.
“I remember standing in the kitchen thrilled to hear from my daughter. She was excited.” Johnson recalls.
Johnson said Thomas told her, “I did something wrong and … I got away and slammed the door.”
“Did he rape you?” Johnson said she asked her daughter. “No, I got away,” Johnson said Thomas told her.
Johnson said she didn’t know what to do next. “I couldn’t reach her. I couldn’t touch her. I didn’t know anyone in Reno to send her to. She was on the other side of the earth.”
