The Queen of Pop Janet Jackson reigns supreme!
‘Unbreakable,’ the diva’s first album in over seven years, will officially open at #1 on tomorrow’s edition of the Billboard 200 – it has been confirmed.
How much did the ‘No Sleeep’ led set sell to achieve the feat? Find out below… According to Hits Daily Double, the LP – which reunites Jackson with longtime collaborators Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis – sold 106,000 in physical sales and 112,000 (when factoring in streaming). The numbers place Jackson atop of the coveted US tally by quite a margin; indeed she sold almost three times that of nearest competition – Tamar Braxton‘s ‘Calling All Lovers.’ That project shifted 37,000 copies. Check back tomorrow for the full rundown of Janet’s chart home-run, as well as detailed insight into the week’s other releases. With a long-overdue nomination in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced for Jackson this week too, it goes without saying that she has ample cause for celebration!
