Suspicious packages addressed to Joe Biden, Robert De Niro in latest wave of bomb scares
The New York police bomb squad has removed a suspicious package from a Tribeca building associated with Robert De Niro, and authorities believe they’ve found a suspicious package addressed to former Vice President Joe Biden.
Police were called at 4:45 a.m. about the package, which was on the building's seventh floor. WABC reports the address, 375 Greenwich St., matches that of the Tribeca Film Center. De Niro is the founder of the Tribeca Film Festival. The Tribeca Grill, owned by De Niro, is also located there.

The package will be taken to the NYPD's facility in the Bronx for further investigation.
De Niro is a vocal critic of President Donald Trump.
Also Thursday, CNN and CBS reported that another suspicious package was sent to former Vice President Joe Biden. The package was reportedly found in New Castle, Delaware. A large police presence was noted at Biden's Greenville, Delaware, home Wednesday.
Law enforcement officials told CNN Wednesday that they were working to track down the package addressed to the former vice president. The package, now considered suspicious because of its similarities to others, was misaddressed and returned to the sender.
Authorities said on Wednesday the pipe bombs mailed to CNN and prominent Democrats were packed with shards of glass and were intercepted. None of the seven bombs detonated, and nobody was hurt as authorities in New York, Washington, D.C., Florida and California seized the suspicious packages.
Thursday morning, Trump blamed the "anger we see today in our society" on "the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media."
