Katherine Johnson, trailblazing NASA mathematician who inspired movie Hidden Figures, dies aged 101
Katherine Johnson, one of the first Black women to work as a NASA scientist, has died at the age of 101, the space agency confirmed. Her achievements and those of her colleagues were celebrated in the book Hidden Figures, and she was played by Taraji P. Henson in the 2016 film of the same name.
