Singer Confirms 21-Year Old Son's Death On Twitter
As you can imagine, condolences flooded the Twitter account, along with questions surrounding Beckett's sudden death.
As this point, Melissa's reps have not revealed anything further.
Etheridge and Cypher welcomed Beckett in 1998 using artificial insemination. The couple also shares a daughter, Bailey Jean, who was born a year earlier.
Melissa also has 13-year-old twins, Miller and Jonnie, who she shares from a previous relationship with Tammy Lynn Michaels.
At first, the couple was hesitant to reveal who was the donor for the kids, but later revealed that rock legend David Crosby was the children's biological father.
Beckett's Cause Of Death Is Unknown...
"There's nothing like taking the responsibility or creating the responsibility of bringing a human being into this world and helping it in its first years," she said. "It doesn't matter the equation that gets you there or what you are to that person. It doesn't matter at all. It is the bond between you and the child," she said.
It's unclear at this point if Beckett was ill, or if law enforcement is involved with some sort of death investigation.
