The scary diagnosis surfaced in one of Mally Mall's legal cases where his lawyers filed documents postponing the case due to his medical condition.
"(Mally Mall) was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center hospital on or about July 13, 2020, and was diagnosed with COVI-19 with impact to his lungs," the filing said.
It continued, "It is uncertain when Mr. Rashid will recover, and there would still be a quarantine period thereafter."
As we reported, Mally has been on the front lines fighting the virus by handing out Coronavirus safety packages to L.A.'s homeless population.
It's possible Mally contracted the virus while trying to protect and help the less fortunate fight the rising numbers in the Los Angeles streets.
Back in March, we obtained a video of Mally and his team on Skid Row in L.A. passing out bags filled with items that would undoubtedly help in the days to come.
The hip hop producer stocked up on items like hand sanitizer, clothing, socks, and bathroom items to help the population deal with the onslaught of Coronavirus.
Mally was even seen speaking to a crowd at a downtown Los Angeles church service.
We're told Mally Mall and his team realized the homeless population is a much higher risk of contracting and spreading the virus and felt he needed to help as much as possible.
The producer also made an appearance at the 'Open Door Skid Row Ministry' which operates the popular sidewalk church in downtown Los Angeles.
Several famous artists are hoping he can make a speedy recovery -- we're told he is currently working on Blac Chyna's album and just finished working with Teyana Taylor's album with Kehlani and Davido.
