Bronny James, LeBron James’ Eldest Son, Suffers Cardiac Arrest On USC Court
LeBron James’ eldest son Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during basketball practice at USC on Monday (July 24), a family spokesperson said on Tuesday.
Bronny, 18, was rushed to a local hospital where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. He is now out of ICU and is listed in stable condition, according to the statement.
“Yesterday while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family, and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
Bronny is a 6-ft-3, four-star recruit and is a potential lottery pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He signed with the Trojans this off-season.
Bronny played high school basketball for Sierra Canyon, a private school in Los Angeles.
He is the latest athlete to suffer a cardiac arrest, stroke, or blood clots since 2020.
Singer Tori Kelly, 30, is reportedly in an ICU after suffering blood clots in her lungs and legs.
Lakers star LeBron James, 38, and his wife Savannah James also share a son, Bryce James, 16, and a daughter, Zhuri James, 8.
So young be well Bronny
