Ok last night I watched the new show called Black ish not to fond of the title but now I see why it was named Black ish and here's what I took from the first show. It seems very clear it's about being in this modern day world of seeing color how we view being black and living in a white world with each other finding who we are still in this society that hasn't been in our favor. The husband played by Anthony Anderson has issues with his family not being able too see who they are he lives in the world of black pride his kids when asked about the President being black they just thought there was always a balck President in office not understanding Obama is the first black President of course they might not have known that when the kids were under the age to have figured it out or they weren't born yet so the storyline did make you think for a moment. His wife played by Tracee Ellis Ross who is mix in real life sees no color we're all the same just trying to get along she plays a Doctor and has a feel for what her husband wants for his family but she's more open to letting things be and not fight the power. It has funny moments it makes you see things in the way we think but dare not say. Knowing our identity and culture will help keep an open mind will also by putting this show in our faces will leave us thinking " You know what that's true ".

I saw the show and had mixed feelings about it. I'm going to keep watching it but not sure this show will make it. We're all into Obama being the first Black president and after seeing this show it dawned on me that there are kids who don't see his presidency as a big thing because he's the only president they have known. That just hit me as Wow!! I guess they haven't studied U.S. history in school yet. Then they'll realize that Obama made history. Good luck to this show anyway because you know I like our people to succeed in the entertainment industry. I'm a fan of Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Larry Fishburne.

Scandal was already a hit. Where I live there were dozens of "Scandal premier parties" going on. I'm still not convinced I'll continue watching Blackish....need to see more episodes. Recorded Viola Davis new show but haven't watched it yet but everything Shonda Rhimes touches turns to gold.
