La Toya Jackson is being called out for a $100,000 investment paid to the singer and her manager/fiancé Jeffre Phillips for an album that never saw the light of day. According to The Jasmine Brand, Kevin Fitzpatrick filed a federal lawsuit against the pair in early September for allegedly defrauding him out of thousands of dollars. He claims he entered the deal with Jackson and Phillips in 2005 to fund her comeback album, Starting Over. The agreement stated Fitzpatrick would recoup his money and the group would equally split the profits from all sales. He claims he was owed $150,000 ($100,000 for the investment; $50,000 for profits), but has not received a dime. Fitzpatrick believes his money was used elsewhere and is suing for fraud, as well as breach of contract. He is seeking $100,000 (plus interest) and punitive damages.

Whoa! Well, there's always two sides to every story. Maybe she'll make a statement in response to the allegations.
