Sorry Mr. President but I have to give you a thumbs down on this very very serious virus known as Ebola to let flights from Africa manly come into Amercia is dead wrong. This thing could spread like butter on bread it's not all that clear how it gets to the next level but it has to STOP from where it comes and that is to not let anyone coming and going to the motherland or else where if there has been some kind of contact. The New York Giants football team must go to Dallas for a Sunday game and they are being brief on how to handle this virus while they are in Dallas of course to play the Cowboys. So you see this means we're getting a little nervous with this situation. Now all know is the GOP right wingers are all over this one about how our President is handling this area we knew that right but I must say I totally AGREE not to let planes be able to come in here when it's very clear this could be a bad thing no matter what some are saying it won't be as serious as we think NOT BUYING IT !! This right here is breathing ground for germs I mean please SMH.

I agree with you C, he clearly didn't have the right approach. I'm so leary of shaking hands or embracing people i don't know. In church we're asked to shake hands and greet 5 people who we don't know, but i'm not doing it. We have to be more cautious about how we live our lives and not put ourselves in a situation that could be hazardous, it's about using common sense .

Okay Miss C but you know that there are people in the affected countries from all over the world that are there to help. So will they be trapped there?? How will supplies get there? If they fly supplies in will they then not be allowed to leave. I agree that casual/personal travel should stop but to stop in/out help would be disastrous for those sick people. This is a dangerous situation no doubt but I won't stand up with the GOP because they are politicizing this whole thing with the election a few weeks away. All you have to do is listen to conservative radio.....Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and the like and you will hear what I'm saying. But I do agree with you that President doesn't get high marks on this one because of how it's being handled and reported to the public. It's really confusing what was told to the Nurse Amber Vinson about whether it was okay for her to travel. If she indeed had a low grade fever, there was no need for her to call the CDC to ask if she could travel. She had just gotten through helping take care of an Ebola victim and one of the first signs of the disease is a fever. Common sense should have told her to stay put until she was tested. How many people did she potentially affect? Not smart on her part at all. Today I heard that there's a person on a cruise ship that has a fever who supposedly had some contact with Eric Duncan. That person is in isolation until the shop docks. None of those people who helped handle Duncan or came in contact with him should be traveling anywhere. If the GOP is so concerned, they need to go ahead and approve the president's General Surgeon appointment. We need a General Surgeon right now and they are holding up the appointment.

At my church we at one point are asked to give other members a sign of peace which is by shaking their hands and you usually shake hands with those who are around you. Some people even walk up and down the aisles shaking hands. It's a practice I'm not so comfortable with. The safety of the way they give out communion is questionable too. I never, ever drink the wine because it's from a shared glass. All they do it wipe the area after the person drinks. Highly likely to contract something that way. I want to fully participate in my service but I don't want to get sick either.

That's exactly how it is in my church! My Bishop goes to various parts of Africa every year, we have built homes for the homeless there and schools. He is the founder of Save Africa's Children and that's why he and others go over, to make sure everything is going well. We also have missionaries who live there now. God forgive me , but during the hand shaking part of the service i will be going to the restroom. Communion for us is safe.

It's a real shame that politics is even an issue in something so critical to all as a whole. SMH!!!!

Well our service men and women are going over there we don't know how to handle this thing we are going by what we think we know so to have anyone who's already over there doing the right thing in helping is one thing but they must be handled with care so not to spread this germ any further. I have to say they must be quarantine that's the only way we know of. Here we have news stories breaking everyday we now have a person who worked in the hospital in Texas where the man died who felt like taking a boat cruise how thoughtless was that this person had to know clearly you must stay indoors but they felt I must take this cruise. Some people are sick I mean not taking this seriously it's no joke first of all humans get this and mostly die I feel the only why now to keep this from spreading is to keep the ones abroad away from the healthy and they have to be quarantine before entering this country it might sound harsh but this is the only way we know of on how to stop anything that could spread by contact.
