TLC abruptly cancelled the popular reality TV series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo over Mama June’s dating choices, reports gossip tabloid TMZ.com.
The Toddlers & Tiaras spin-off centered around former child beauty contestant Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 9, whose cherubic smile and sassy southern charm made her an instant hit with TV viewers.
Honey Boo Boo’s mother June Shannon is reportedly dating Mark McDaniel, 53, a registered sex offender who allegedly molested one of June’s younger relatives.
TMZ reports McDaniel was charged with aggravated child molestation in 2004 for “forcing oral sex on an 8-year-old child.”
Yesterday, the AJC’s Radio & TV Talk writer Rodney Ho received this statement from TLC:
“TLC has cancelled the series HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being.”
The show’s ratings are off their peak, averaging around 1.4 million overnight viewers earlier this year from 1.8 million season three.
June reportedly split from Honey Boo Boo’s father, Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, just last month.

If the mother was smart, hopefully she invested the money that was made wisely so the little girl can have college money. I have a feeling we haven't heard the last of them.

More sickness going on.
 Mama June and her new guy -- convicted child molester Mark McDaniel -- have not done ANYTHING illegal by seeing each other and law enforcement won't do anything to stop them ... TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement tell us ... the Dekalb County Sheriff's Dept. has received various complaints by people who were alarmed after seeing TMZ's stories about the pair hanging out after McDaniel's release from prison in March. He served 10 years for forcing oral sex on June's daughter, Anna.
Our law enforcement sources say ... Mark is not legally prohibited from hanging out with June, Honey Boo Boo or anyone else in her family ... except Anna. So far, there's been no violation.
This is scary ... but June could literally shack up with McDaniel and cops would be powerless to stop it, unless he lays a hand on her kids.
As for Anna ... it seems McDaniel is in the clear because she told us she doesn't want to be near him.
Although cops tell us McDaniel is in "total compliance" ... they add he's on their radar.
What's more ... although we've reported children's services is looking into the situation, we're told unless there's a real threat to the children, they can't take any action. The reality is ... McDaniel has done his time and is allowed to mingle in society.
 What the H%#L IS GOING HERE ARE THEY KIDDING ME THIS IS SICK SICK SICK. WHAT DO THE POLICE NEED TO DO SEE HIM DOING SOMETHING BEFORE THEY REACT LORD HAVE MERCY !!!! 
The 8-year-old girl who was molested by Mama June's new guy is June's own daughter, Anna ... and Anna wanted us to tell everybody.
TMZ broke the story ... June is dating her ex, Mark McDaniel, who was released in March after serving 10 years in prison for forcing a girl to perform oral sex on him. June has been dating McDaniel since his release -- something she denies despite photos and other evidence -- and that's why TLC cancelled "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo."
Sources tell TMZ ... Anna Cardwell -- who is now 20 and married with a child -- believed her mom earlier today that she was not dating the man who molested her. But we're told Anna has now received a lot more info, and is now convinced June betrayed her by seeing McDaniel again.
Anna -- known on the show as Chickadee -- wants it known she's the victim because it makes what her mom is doing all the more egregious. We're told Anna feels her relationship with her mom has been destroyed, and the only way June can see her granddaughter is if McDaniel is nowhere to be seen.
We're also told TLC reached out to Anna today to offer her counseling.

If the mother was smart, hopefully she invested the money that was made wisely so the littlest Octoberl can have college money. I have a feeling we haven't heard the last of them. She's not very smart, otherwise who she dates would'nt even be an issue for TMZ or anyone else. Hope she did put something away for her daughters future, after all the show is supposed to be centered around the little girl.  |

June has mention always on that show she was saving the money for the kids future but if she keeps on seeing this guy she should not keep the Boo Boo clan.
