Apparently Bruce Jenner’s mother always wanted to be a girl. Esther Jenner opened up about the Olympic gold medalist’s journey to transform himself from a strong virile man (he has six kids) into his ex-wife, Kris Jenner. “I just learned about [his transition],” Esther told Radar Online on Tuesday. “Bruce filled me in, and we had a very long, long, long talk about it.” She said she is more proud of her son’s transition than she was when he won his Olympic gold medals. “I am more proud of him now than when he stood on that podium and put the gold medal around his neck,” Esther said. “He deserves all the respect.” Her words offers some insight into how Bruce came to be so mixed up mentally. “I have never been more proud of Bruce for who he is, himself as a father, as an Olympian, wonderful public speaker,” she said of the father of six. “He instills enthusiasm in people. He’s gifted.” Page Six confirmed that Bruce, 65, will sit down with Diane Sawyer to discuss his transformation in a TV special that is set to air in May. Bruce will also star in a reality TV series that documents his transition. C
