James Brown was no dummy when it came to what he wanted with his music but when it also came to his life he was shockingly smarter then I thought. This man was not of my age group but he was and icon and did leave the world with the funkiest music around. The reason I'm speaking about James Brown is because I was watching a bio on his life on HBO it was produced by Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones band and it was really interesting I came away with more insight he did have problems relating to people his mother and father just gave him up he also beat on women and always felt that was the wrong thing to do and he told those around him never should a man beat on a woman he didn't practice what he preached sadly enough. Most of his life was work he earn the title of hardest working man in show business and he was. He believed in hard work his band had to wear the best suits always even while they traveled on a bus they were in their suits. When Dr. Martin Luther King was killed and the streets were in unrest and mobbing's in the black communities were out of hand after hearing of his death James Brown had a concert on that night and the crowd was hurt and angry but James Brown told them don't make us look bad don't do that to yourself nor too me they listen and peace of mind was in the crowd that night he controlled his audience that night went down in music history books. He changed the beat of music his on the count 1 as the musicians would call it till this day all of hip hop made their music on Brown's work. Michael Jackson mastered his foot work Prince also and so many more did his moves. He really knew what it was too be black and he was there when the fight had to be won and heard from the Black Panthers and King, Brown used his voice and music to tell the story. He made mistakes but he own up on them all he put black people to work in the old days he wanted them to have a since of pride he was very popular back in the day he was everywhere and our people wanted to see him he was the man and Dr. King was heard saying I don't about you but I'm going to see James Brown yes he was big in the 60's. There was more to this bio but I had to share the likes of it too you all we love music here not just Maxwell so when I see something I'll give my view on it but not too tell to much.
C.....Word to the wise RIGHT ON !
