The Success Of Empire Is Giving African Americans TV Appeal

Due to the success of "Empire," Morris Chestnut will appear in a new TV show on Fox. He will portray a private pathologist who can read dead and living bodies. Chestnut also has a new movie coming out with Robert DeNiro and he will co-star in the movie: "The Perfect Guy," with Sanaa Lathan and Michael Ealy in early September.

And now this sideline story :

We all know that Mo'Nique and Wesley Snipes were the first choices for Luscious & Cookie Lyons on the hit show "Empire." Snipes has rebounded and will star as a former sniper turned security expert in "Endgame," on NBC. Mo'Nique has yet to rebound.

All I can say is that I'm glad Monique and Wesley didn't get the roles. Terrance and Taraji are perfect for this show....it's like a continuation of the movie they did together.
