Singer Kelly Rowland’s new documentary style reality series Chasing Destiny is set to premiere April 5th, and with that news also comes its first official trailer, which BET released yesterday. Kelly and Frank Gatson criss-crossed the country last summer in search of the next big girl group, making stops in Atlanta, New York, Houston and Los Angeles. Those auditions are what make up Chasing Destiny, which Kelly says will be very different from other talent competitions now airing.

We hope Kelly intends to put out some new music to correlate with the show’s premiere. It’s been nearly a year since the brown-skinned beauty excited fans, posting snippets of songs she’d been working on for her new album.
