He should have gotten life never see the light of day.
A brutal Bronx creep who beat a 2-month-old boy to death because the infant wouldn’t stop crying was sentenced to 18 years in prison Friday. Luis Cartagena, 34, pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder on April 9 for the death of little Joemill Greer on Oct. 31, 2014, four days after the beating. Cartagena was babysitting the infant — his step-nephew — when he went berserk over the baby’s bawling, struck him and slammed him against a bedpost. Cartagena was accused of either “shaking the child ... or slamming or throwing the child so as to impact the child's head on a hard surface or object,” according to the criminal complaint.
