Coming July 11th on FOX time 11:AM ET The Preachers panel talk show, executive produced by former The View co-creator and EP Bill Geddie, is getting a three-week daily preview on Fox-owned TV stations in New York and Los Angeles beginning July 11. Additional select stations and markets will be announced.
RelatedBill Simmons HBO Talk Show Gets Title & Premiere Date Produced by Telepictures Productions, The Preachers features four outspoken preachers known for their unique takes on pop culture, news events and spirituality. The series will be hosted by John Gray, a gifted musician and associate pastor at Lakewood Church in Houston; Dr. E. Dewey Smith Jr., senior pastor/teacher at The House of Hope Atlanta and The House of Hope Macon, GA; Orrick Quick, pastor and founder of God Seekers Church in High Point, NC; and Dr. Jamal Bryant, pastor and founder of Empowerment Temple AME Church in Baltimore.
The Preachers follows other Warner Bros. daytime talk shows that went onto national syndication after successful summer test runs on Fox stations, including The Real and Bethenny.

Just saw it today. I actually liked it. If it's like a show where the worlds problems are the focus then it could work with a twist and have guest like TD Jakes. I haven't seen it yet but hey it's a different look. Candy

It's pretty good. It's the only daytime show thus far that is all men hosts and preachers. They've had some interesting guests so far. It also looks like they are using/sharing the same set studio The Real shoots at. I think The Real is on summer hiatus at the moment. On today's show they had two young men both former gang members. One former Crip the other former Blood who left gang life, became friends and opened a catering business together. The Preachers were so impressed with their business, cooking skills & food that they gave them the opportunity to be the main cateres for the show. Thus far it's very encouraging, enlightening & positive. Hopefully they do well on their summer test run market so their show can continue throughout the Fall.
