And then there were 12. The 2013-14 NFL playoffs are set and that means everyone else is officially OFF the board.
There weren't much bigger collapses than the Ravens and Dolphins, who entered Week looking pretty good. They were inexplicably leapfrogged by the Chargers (40-1) who are the lowest-rated team by Bovada.lv when it comes to postseason odds. That's no surprise, since they struggled to beat the Chiefs' (25-1) backups.
In fact, had the refs not missed a critical penalty by the Chargers, the Steelers could've very well found themselves in the postseason.
On the other end of the spectrum from the Bolts are the Seahawks (11-4), Broncos (3-1) and 49ers (7-1) who find themselves exactly where they started the year albeit with a slightly different order.
It's a stunner to see the Panthers (10-1) here, even after all their success. Absolutely massive win over the Falcons because it puts the Saints (22-1) in a position where they have to go on the road and win games.
The Packers (12-1) are hosting a game against the Niners but they've vaulted up the rankings the last few weeks. Talk about a solid Super Bowl investment a few weeks ago if you believed Aaron Rodgers could return. They're still not a terrible bet all things considered.
