And it begins. Prince’s estate and family have been hinting at posthumous releases from the superstar since his passing on April 21st this year.
Following the opening of the Paisley Park museum in Prince’s hometown of Minnesota earlier this month, his label NPG Records and Warner Bros. have announced two posthumous releases today.
The first one is Prince 4Ever (artwork posted above) which will hits stores November 22nd in the U.S. and November 25th around the world. It will feature 40 of Prince’s best-loved songs and hits like ‘When Doves Cry’, ‘Let’s Go Crazy’, ‘Kiss’, ‘Little Red Corvette’, ‘Purple Rain’, ‘Raspberry Beret’, ‘Sign O’ The Times’, ‘Alphabet Street’, ‘Cream’, ‘The Most Beautiful Girl in the World’ and more.
The album will also contain a previously unreleased song titled ‘Moonbeam Levels’ which was recorded in 1982 during the 1999 sessions and later considered for the Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic album. Prince 4Ever will also come with a 12-page booklet of never-before-seen photos by acclaimed photographer Herb Ritts.

Apart from this, early 2017 is set to see the release of remastered & deluxe version of the Purple One’s iconic album Purple Rain. Acording to the press release sent to us, plans for the release were agreed with Prince before he passed away. It will be accompanied with a second album of previously unreleased material, details of which will be revealed closer to the release date.
