Bounce cable network will be bringing back The Cosby Show after nearly ever cable network canceled the old show because of Cosby's troubles.
Bounce TV announced on social media it will begin showing reruns of the 1980s sitcom on Dec. 19.
The Atlanta-based network, which claims to be the first TV network designed and programmed for African Americans, says it takes the allegations against the 79-year-old Cosby “seriously,” however, pointing to research, believe African Americans “see a distinction between Bill Cosby, the man, and the iconic TV character Cliff Huxtable.”
Not surprisingly, the announcement has drawn criticism from many, including director and producer Judd Apatow, who tweeted: “Presenting a violent rapist to viewers like he is a lovable dad is inappropriate.”
