So the latest in social media news is that Maxwell has been vacationing in Dubai these last couple of months. There is some controversy going around stating Maxwell posted video of himself running in a Mosque with music in the background. Some Muslims have stated that this is total disrespect on Maxwell's part toward Islam and Muslims as a whole - running in a Mosque and playing music in the background which some Muslims have stated is a violation in their religion and something they will never do. Other Muslims and non-Muslims say he is being artistic because he is an artist and it's harmless.
I'm just curious what are members thoughts on this topic? Should artists leave religion out of the equation when promoting their work? Is it deemed disrespectful? Or is it an artistic expression and tribute to a religion they seek more to understand?

Okay first of all I am not Muslim so what I've said is in my own opinion I never meant anything here just an opinion. If I'm not mistaken the one who took the video is a muslim and I'm sure in every Masjid there's a people whose incharge inside. It's stupid idea if they never ask permission of what they plan to do. And it's not prayer time. If he run inside naked well I will agree he disrespect the Muslim brother and sister...

I know I'm posting that prayer house is sacred when we all know there's only one temple of God and it's sacred, it is Our Body. Even Imam, pastors or Priests can't saves us but ourselves. How we treat others and how we lives our lives is all that matters. Sorry I grow up believing that or my grandparents teach me that. But I respect evrything you all believe in...

Yes I agree play it safe. Religion and politics are two areas that fuel the flames. There will always be differences in opinions and beliefs on these two touchy subjects. It's ok of course wanting to know more or learn about a particular religion. Religion is very vital in the lives of people and shapes their beliefs. it's definitely important to respect the traditions, rituals, beliefs, value and culture of the religion and not create actions that may seem to make or come cross as a mockery or disrespect to the religion.
