Gabi was diagnosed with osteosarcoma at 9 yrs old, a rare bone cancer which required her lower leg to be amputated. Rather then give up her dreams of being a ballerina, Gabi put her optimism and determination to the test. It took her a year to learn to walk on her new leg, and another year to get back to dancing… But now she is dancing competitively! “What motivated me to walk was the thought of dancing again because I just wanted to dance.” She is using her experiences to help others, lending her voice and support to children suffering from cancer. “If I can beat cancer and live with a prosthetic leg and learn to do everything again - then I believe I can do anything,” Gabi explains.
